Phish’s 14th studio album, “Joy,” released Sept. 12 debuted at #13 on the Billboard top 200 chart. The album was recorded in New York City and was produced by acclaimed producer, Steve Lillywhite.
Phish’s 1996 album, “Billy Breathes,” peaked at #7 on the Billboard 200. 1998′s “The Story of the Ghost” hit #8, and 2000′s “Farmhouse” hit #12.

Information from a Live Nation source is slipping through the cracks about a possible Phish summer tour opener at Fenway Park on May 31. Their first confirmed gig of the summer tour, as it stands now, is June 4 at the Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY.
The Dave Matthews Band will be performing two shows at Fenway on May 29 and 30, so Fenway will be in “concert-mode.”
For the rest of Phish’s 2009 summer tour dates, go here.
The reviews are streaming in and all sound positive: the boys are firing on all four cylinders like never before. Trey sounds more focused and clear-headed that he has in years.
I’ll let the music do the talking. Head over to LivePhish where you can have yourself a pristine copy of last night’s show–in all it’s soundboard glory–for free, courtesy of the band. The mp3 files are encoded in 256kps, while lossless FLACs are available for $12.95.
